Pää pyörälle 24.8

Next we will participate the Pää pyörälle event on sunday 24.8. Idea of the event is to cycle from on museum to another and experience sporting and art. KOELSE will be in Gallen Kallela museun in espoo 14.00.

Tous costs 15e, includes museum fees.

Vadelma Fest 27.7 & Expedition Helsinki 2.8

Next we have some special projects coming. We are going to participate the Expedition Helsinki project organized by Reality research center and Toisissa tiloissa.

Idea is to look at Helsinki from an expeditioner point of view.  Time 2.8, 12-19. Starts from the lawn in front of Kiasma. Expedition will cost you 15 euros, and  you need to apply today. Mail  info(at)kiasma.fi if you want to join.

Before the actual expedition we will be participating the Vadelma fest 27.7 at Alppipuisto with the same concept and do some expeditions on the area.

So join us there, Vadelma fest is free.

Jättömaa 2014 next weekend

Next weekend it is again time to head towards beautiful city of Kouvola and Wasteland fest 2014. I would recommend starting the festival at the opening club on Friday 18.7 where we will be playing. Other acts: Esa Kotilainen and Domovoyd. Place is House of rock in the center of Kouvola (Kouvolankatu 28).

Will cost you 8 euros, but hey festival is free.

I am not even going to list all the interesting bands this year, Islaja, Olimpia Splendid and endless amount of other interesting acts. Check yourself. Just want to remind you not to miss very special Havn Vahanussi solo gig on sunday 20.00.

Arabian katufestari

17.5.2014 KOELSE will be participating a streetart festival in Arabianranta. Koelse will start with performing on the street-music stage 12.30 and will be circulating the surrounding streets after that. Seems to be quite a lot of other stuff there as well, so do join us on saturday.

Experimental deer

This week is a great week for KOELSE-sideprojects. In my last post I was proud to announce the rare Havn Vahanussi Solo-gig in Jättömää, but that is not all. On this saturday only you have a very special opportunity to see the Experimental deer (Kokeellinen peura). 

Unfortunately I am not allowed to reveal more information about this particular project, exept that it will be part of Là-Bas Money and power festival and take place in Omenapuutalo on saturday sometime after 19.00. 

Event is free.

Great news everyone, Wasteland fest program for 2014 festival is now available on their website. Lot's of interesting stuff coming again, we especially recommend the super rare Havn Vahanussi solo on sunday.

We sure did have fun at Wastelandfest 2013, and expect to do so this year as well.

Kuplayö - Bubble night

If you are in Helsinki on friday 18.4, be sure not to miss this one. First of all Vapaan Taiteen Tila is starting a new artspace in Helsinki, it is right under Kurvi and it looks absolutely incredible.


It sure looks like a perfect place to listen to KOELSE, but that's not all.

Workshop on wednesday

On wednesday we will be having a workshop at Lasipalatsi meeting point (2nd floor where the music library used to be). From 14 to 18 we will guide you on your journey to transform your electronic devices into something complitely new. 

So pack up your crap on wednesday and get your ass to Lasipalatsi. 

If you want to play safe, take battery operated devices.
Do not take new digital devices, too complex for this workshop.

Hey everyone, Wasteland festival in approaching fast, si get yourself to Kouvola next weekend 19.7.-21.7.2013. Besides the Koelse supermassive set at hevostallit on saturday, there is quite a lot of music/theater/other program around.

Kovaydinvastarinta, Finnish organizer of hardcore tehcho events, made a documentary about their Brainbashers tour around Finland.

Yes, Koelse is there, round 2.03 if you can not contain yourself.

Exhibition at Oksasenkatu 11

This friday 14.6 we will open our next exhibition at Oksasenkatu 11 Gallery, Helsinki. Exhibition is titled: Postspatial discoreligion - A sketch for the profound experience of the future

In the world after peak oil the dreams about conquering outer space get dimmer and the continuity of western lifestyle gets more and more improbable.

When the consumercultural production chains break down, our still oily gaze turns to what we have left behind; trash, junk, filth. Where wastelands are future´s treasury, concepts can be excavated with the same lustfulness.

Association of experimental electronics is a group specialized in casual-artistic reuse of electronic waste. We hoard abandoned household electronics and intercollide them by therms of “Circuit bending” and “Hardware hacking.”

In this sketch for the future comprehensions we try to scrable together western culture´s most delicate traditions, such as religion, popular culture, heraldics and electronic art. Our aim is to present a vision of what kind of ritualculture we could have after the great breakdown.
